E.V.E. -- Experiment on Volatile Evolution
A downloadable game
The player controls a creature, capable of rapid evolution. The creature then is subjected to tests in a controlled environment. The goal of the experiment is to find out and extend the limits of the creatures' survival capabilities.
Manage you creatures' thirst and hunger and spend it at the cocoon to evolve. Each evolution grants you a choice from randomized traits. Be careful! Evolving consumes 70 hunger and thirst! Undergo 4 evolutions to unlock the win card and finish the game.
In the current build, the controlls are as follows:
W,A,S,D or arrow keys for movement (diagonal by tapping both)
H for help screen
SPACE for interacting with neighbouring interactable grid objects
Currently implemented features:
Turn based movement draining the creatures' thirst and hunger
Refilling said thirst by interacting with a water tile
Refilling said hunger by interacting with a plant (current creature is herbivore).
Plants need five turns to regrow after consumption.
Neutral creatures wandering (currently) aimlessly around the map.
Debug menu enabling the selection of player creatures' size.
